This is a timely and insightful essay looking back at the values portrayed in the John Hughes movies of the 80’s, and comparing them to changing values in the age of Me Too. And the fact that it was written by Molly Ringwald, the actress whose character in The Breakfast was the victim of some pretty bad bullying and sexual harassment by the boy she ends up with at the end, makes it all the more interesting.  This woman can write!  Who knew?
