My essay “The Luckiest Bastard” will be included in the written collection “Gratitude” compiled by Read650 in connection with the “Songs of Gratitude” event at the Bruno Theater at Lincoln Center on January 4, 2020. The event is in celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. Excerpts from the collection “Gratitude” will be read, and Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 15, Op. 132, known as a “holy song of gratitude,” will be performed by the New York Classical Players.
